The two German brothers Mario and Marco Kern first had their idea to open a Custom Bike Shop in 1989 and considering the fact that they live in the European “California” (Altea, in the Costa Blanca region of Spain) made this the perfect place to make their dream come true. But as happens so often in life, for a few years there was enough money available in order to open the shop. However by 1994 they had managed to save enough money to make their dream a reality.

At the beginning they moved into the second floor of a bar with a very small amount of parts, tools, and products compared to what they have today. At this point their actual workshop was located in the backyard of their house, which was not 100% legal considering that this was in the middle of a residential area! Luckily they didn’t have any problems with the neighbours.

They began to work mainly with Japanese bikes, by making slight changes within the bike design and changing handlebars, mirrors and lights… however as time rolled by the amount of work and number of clients was growing and growing. In 1998 the bar underneath the shop moved out and the brothers then renovated the area in order to open their new workshop on the premises.

From that day onwards business got better and better as the number of Harleys in the Costa Blanca was growing and growing, and this led to a very high demand for bike accessories and custom jobs. From 1998 onwards they focused much more on customizing and new bike productions based on Harley-Davidson motorbikes. This doesn’t mean that M&M Custom does not welcome you with a Japanese or British custom-bike. All custom enthusiastic bikers are welcome at the shop.

Our main target is to give you a fast, extremely cost-competitive and totally satisfying expert custom bike service. Nowadays we have an ever growing and improving stock (of both accessory and consumable parts). We also have a big choice of tyres in the stock. We also regularly get new and better specialist and machine tools. We can do welding, lathe and fibreglass work, special seats, tyre mounting, metal polishing jobs, etc; as well as complete custom bike design and manufacture to order. You can also just come for a coffee or a bike talk anytime.

Since 1994, M&M Custom bikes have been rewarded internationally with many prizes, at shows all across Europe. We hope that our successful work will continue to get International acknowledgment.
